Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, you will drive to Murchison falls through Luwero town, have a stopover at Zziwa Rhino sanctuary in order to enjoy these black and white Rhinos. Each person here pays $40 dollars for entrance to the sanctuary. This sanctuary was established mainly to protect these rhinos from danger and poachers. Have a stop in Masindi at any hotel for your lunch and after continue to Murchison falls national park and hike to the top of the falls which will give you beautiful views of these waterfalls.
You will gaze at the Nile River which is the longest river in the world, it’s forced through a small gap which is just 7m wide and it flows 43 meters down making it look very beautiful to the viewers.
Murchison falls National Park is one of the largest national parks in Uganda and it covers an area of 3840 sq. meters. The park has variety of wildlife species and vegetation which ranges from swamp land, savannah to riparian forests, and the wildlife species here include; leopards, lions, hyenas, elephants, buffalos, giraffes, crocodiles, hippos, primates like the monkeys and the many bird species including: blue throated roller, the shoebill stork, Ituri Batis, Tit Hylia, Uganda woodland warbler, forest robin, yellow billed and the grey throated. The main tourist activities carried out in this park are game viewing and boat trips along the Nile River.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel, after proceed to search for the wildlife species on a game drive. You will get a chance to view many species including; the giraffes, lions, elephants, buffaloes, birds and many more. The guide will take you back to the lodge to have your lunch at the lodge as you prepare to enjoy a boat cruise on the Nile River. This boat will allow you get close to the water animals which include over 4000 hippos as well as the Nile crocodiles. The Nile has got many stunning bird life which is also enjoyed while taking your boat trip; these include; the bee eaters, colored king fishers, shoebill stork, grey throated and the yellow billed birds.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Transfer early from Murchison falls National Park after breakfast; pass via the Lake Albert escarpments, which will give you good views of this beautiful lake. Have a stopover in Hoima at any hotel to have your lunch, after this, drive passed Lake Nkusi joining along Lake Kyoga. You will as well pass through many traditional villages as you enjoy local people carrying out agriculture. Have a chance to take to some photos of the rolling hills filled with traditional cash crops.
You will as well enjoy fort portal which is in the foot hills of Rwenzori Mountains filled with tea plantations, after enjoying this platform of green tea, you will continue to Kibale National Park which is one of the great rain forest in Africa. This forest is mainly famous for around 13 Primate Species with chimpanzees being the main tracked species. The other primate species include the golden monkeys, black and White colobus monkeys, as well as the bird species. The park is also next to Bigodi wetland which is managed and owned by the local people in the area, this place is famous for primate watching as well as bird watching.
On arrival to the park, you will check in to your lodge and after proceed to visit the scenic crater lakes region plus the terraced tea plantations around the hills of fort portal. This Crater Lake sits on the on Lake Nyinambuga where tourists can take a walk as they enjoy the cool breezes of this lake. After, return to the lodge to enjoy your dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Engage in Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest& Bigodi wetland visit
Wake up so early and head to Kanyanchu by 8:00 am to start your chimpanzee trek in Kibale forest. Chimpanzees are considered to be the closest relatives of human beings since they share 98% of their DNA with that of the Humans. As you proceed with your search of these beautiful chimps, you will as well view many other primate and animal species including; the LHoests Monkeys, black and White colobus monkeys, red tailed Monkey, grey cheeked Mangabey, pottos, bush babies and many bird species including; the little green bul, yellow spotted nictor, rumped tinker bird, crowed eagle, green breasted pitta, black bee spotted eater as well as the elephants which are the mammals.
This National Park is on average 3,300 feet in Elevation and it’s a rain forest with many communities of Chimpanzees, each troop of these chimpanzees has over 100 individuals which a completed social structure. In their groups, the adult males dominate the group and always defend the whole community against any danger and incursions by the males from outside. These primates are located by listening to their pant hooting calls, and then hurry to the place where they are calling from. You get a chance to observe them as the play, feed, socialize as well as jumping around the trees.
Immediately after , the long trek, return to the lodge for lunch as you prepare to visit Bigodi Wetland sanctuary were you will view more primates like the blue monkeys, baboons, otters, Bush bucks, mongoose , bush pigs and many more. The place is also known for many bird species like the great blue turaco and the green breasted pitta.

Day 5: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early in the morning have breakfast, you will enjoy a walk along the foot hills of the Rwenzori Mountains were you will have a glance at the great peak of this mountains of the moon. After the walk, continue with your transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, this park is just 3 hours’ drive away from Kibale National Park. This national park is famous for variety wildlife species and primate species.
This famous conservation area is bordered by Lake Edward in the south west and in the north east, it’s bordered by Lake George. This park was named after Queen Elizabeth the second and it has variety of wildlife species including; the impalas, kobs, forest hogs, elephants, buffalos, tree climbing lions, and the cape buffalos. This national park is also filled with many volcanic calderas which harbors many flamingos on several seasons.
On your arrival at the park, check in and prepare to engage in a game drive with in the park, you will spend the afternoon watching many wildlife species including the kobs, elephants, lions, buffalos and many more, get a chance to visit the baboon cliff which is famous for its beautiful scenery and many good views of the mountains of the moon. You will as well enjoy much savannah vegetation grassland which occupies most of this park.

Day 6: Game drive & afternoon boat cruise-Queen
Arise early enough and after breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive where you will see various animals like elephants, elands, antelopes, buffaloes, lions, among others. Later return to the lodge, relax and have lunch. During the afternoon set out for boat cruise on Kazinga channel where you will see various numbers of animals like crocodiles, hippos, water bucks, buffaloes, as well as birds like the storks, King fishers among others.

Day 7: A nature walk within Maramagambo Forest & an afternoon game drive
Wake up so early and proceed for a walk through the Maramagambo forest which is one of the second largest forests in Uganda. This forest is a habitat to a number of primates and many forest dwellers. The forest harbors many wildlife species including; the butterflies, birds, bats and the chimpanzees which are found in Kyambura Gorge with in the forest. This walk will also take you to the volcanic caves which are home to thousands of bat species as well as the predator pythons. These pythons prey on the bats which leave within the cave. The walk will expose you to the blue lake Kimeranjo which swallowed an elephant and got its name! More so, this walk will take you to the Crater Lake and the kyambura gorge where the chimpanzees are trekked from.
Later in the afternoon after enjoying your lunch, you will proceed for the game drive through the Ishasha sector were you will be able to view the tree climbing lions and many other animal species including the birds, buffalos, elephants, kobs, monkeys and many more.

Day 8: Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast embark Bwindi forest a home to Mountain gorillas covering an area of 331 sq km. Pass through the Ishasha sector where you will take pleasure in watching tree-climbing lions, also enjoy various spectacular landscapes on your way. Arrive in the park and have a guided nature walk, have dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge of your choice.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking -Bwindi impenetrable national park
On this day you will have a great time meeting with the Mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest! After a tasty breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the lodge, head for briefing and later enjoy the fullness of the mist forest as you see the gentle giants and other wildlife species like buffaloes, elephants, monkeys, butterflies and different bird species. Only 1 hour is permitted to you with the gorillas. Trekking takes about 1hour to 8 hours basing on location of these gentle giants. After the trek, in the evening you could go for a guided nature walk or a community visit.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Pick up by your guide and transfers you to Lake Mburo National Park, which is among the Uganda’s smallest savannah national parks. It was upgraded as a national park in 1983 covering an area of 371 sq. km and home to over 332 species of birds, animals like buffaloes, Oribis, Kobs, warthogs, zebras among others. Upon arrival you will check in at the lodge, later head for a guided nature walk through the park. Have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 11: Game drive and an afternoon boat cruise
In the morning have breakfast at your lodge, thereafter set out for a game drive through the park where your eyes will be fed with amazing sights and wildlife such as Impalas, Kobs, antelopes, also different bird species. After, head back to your lodge for lunch with preparation for an unforgettable experience on the boat ride along the lake. Still a lot of animals will be seen like the crocodiles, and hippos among others.

Day 12: Return to Kampala/Entebbe
After an early breakfast, have a game drive through the park as you embark on your journey back to Kampala. Have lunch en route with a stopover around the equator to have experiments and take enough photos. Later arrive in Kampala in the evening or a drop off at the Airport in Kampala just in case you have a flight on that day.

You’ll be personally met arrival at Entebbe airport, and transferred to your accommodation in Kampala. (For those arriving earlier, an afternoon excursion can be planned to the famous tombs of the Kabaka kings, Uganda museum,Bahai temple and Namugongo Martyrs shrine where 22 Christian convicts were killed under Kabaka(King of Buganda)-Mwanga in 1886.

DAY 2 – KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Leave Kampala after breakfast for the fascinating drive through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta to Kibale National Park just under the Ruwenzori Mountains. Afternoon guided walk in the crater lakes area of the park for outstanding cultural visit. DAY 3 – KIBALE/QUEENELIZABETH PARK
Early morning trek for chimpanzees. Kibale is the best reserve in Africa to view chimps, a thick jungle with a towering canopy. In the afternoon, drive to the south into Queen Elizabeth National Park, sightseeing and game viewing enroute. Dinner and overnight at spectacular Mweya Lodge or Jacana Lodge, Katara Lodge, Hippo Hill camp, perched right on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the Uganda great Lakes and Maramagambo forest respectively. DAY 4 – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Dawn game drive in Uganda’s best park, where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for elephant and kob, expect to see some rarer animals like giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George, for large numbers of buffalo and hippo. Dinner and overnight at spectacular Mweya Lodge or Jacana Lodge, Katara Lodge, Hippo Hill camp, perched right on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the Uganda great Lakes and Maramagambo forest respectively. DAY 5 – QUEEN-BWINDI
Today’s drive is through what is probably East Africa’s most spectacular scenery, the highland rain forests which reach to the volcanoes in which live the mountain gorillas. A visit to the bat Cave close to Maramagambo forest or a glance of Kyambura gorge is a must! Make a game drive at Ishasha on your way to Bwindi in search of the tree climbing lions. Later, drive to Bwindi via the beautiful scenery of the tea plantations. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds. The afternoon is spent on a foot safari around the local communities living around the park. DAY 6 -BWINDI-Gorilla trek
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 a.m. with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc. The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are now only 650 left in the world! The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the lodge/hotel in Kampala
After your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our travel guide for a transfer to your booked lodge in Kampala for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Depart for Kibale forest National Park
After early breakfast, at 7:30am you will depart for Kibale forest national park through Mubende-Mityana and Kyenjojo towns through the attractive landscape of beautiful tea plantations and the Rwenzori chain on the background that will lead you to Fortpotal town where you have your lunch stopover. After proceed to your booked lodge and check-in for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking
After early breakfast, you will get at the park headquarters for a pre-chimpanzee tracking/briefing by one of the park rangers and later at 8:00am you will be allocated a park ranger guide and set out for chimpanzee tracking in the jungle. This experience will expose you to a number of primate species like Chimpazees, red, white and black colobous monkeys, Manga bays , Olive baboons and many more not avoiding sights and sounds of forest birds such great blue turcos among others. Later get back to your lodge lunch after you proceed to Bigodi swamp in the park a breathtaking environment for bird lovers with various bird species.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park
After early breakfast at 8:30am you will leave for Queen Elizabeth national park at a leisurely pace  through the crater lakes in Kasese one of the most popular districts known for its numerous attractions. You will have a stopover in Kasese town for Lunch and later continue to the park with another at the Equator for memorable photo taking and later continue with more sightings of various wildlife along the road such elephants, buffalos, antelopes and a quite number of bird species among other wildlife as you proceed to your booked lodge to retire for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After early breakfast you will head to Kasenyi plains an open grassland for great views of numerous game wildlife such as elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, warthogs, waterbucks, bushbucks, antelopes, many bird species and many more game animals. After the thrilling experience in the wild, you will get back to your lodge for lunch as you prepare for the afternoon boat on the Kazinga channel that exposes you sightings of various water animals like hippos, crocodiles, fish among others and many bird species over 530 species.  Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park
After early breakfast, you will get ready and depart for Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park through Ishasha area for a game drive well known for its climbing lions and later proceed on 80km drive to Buhoma area for a check-in in your booked lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking
After early morning breakfast 7:30am you will have packed ready and head to park headquarters for pre-gorilla trekking and later proceed to the jungle in search for the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat to watch them play, move , feed and climb trees an experience that will leave you a story tell. After this gorgeous adventure, you will get back to your lodge to retire for refresh and retire for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Mount Mgahinga national park
After early breakfast at 8:30am you will leave Bwindi for Mount Mgahinga national park via a scenic back road with magnificent views on rolling hills and terraced fields through the Bamboo and montane forests of Ecyuya wildlife reserve that will lead you to Kisoro town at the base of Virunga Mountains. After the arrival of will check-in your booked lodge to retire for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Golden monkey tracking and transfer to Volcanoes
After early breakfast at 7:00am you will to the Mgahinga mountains national park for Golden monkey tracking an adventurous activity expose you to these rare primate species in their natural habit accompanied with other wildlife. After the amazing experience you will to your lodge for lunch and check-out for Volcanoes national park crossing the Rwanda border to Musanze area where the park is situated. On your arrival you will check-in your booked lodge to retire for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Gorilla trekking, city tour and departure
After morning breakfast you will leave for the park first for pre-gorilla trekking and later proceed to the forest in search for mountain gorillas in their habitat watch them play, move, climb trees with a lot of fun amongst themselves an experience an interesting experience you will live to remember. After this touching experience, you will get to your lodge for lunch and check-out to leave for Kigali city tour at the Kigali Genocide memorial a laying ground of over 150,000 people for an incident of the Rwanda Genocide between the Tutsi and the Hutu tribes in 1994. After this visit, you will be dropped to Kigali Airport by your driver guide for flight connection back home.

After breakfast drive to Murchison falls. Will divert to The Rhino Sanctuary at Ziwa Ranch for rhino viewing. After will drive to Masindi town, stop for lunch at Masindi town. After lunch proceed to Murchison falls. Visit the top of the falls an exciting point where millions of gallons of water squeeze in 6-7 meter gap with thunderous sound before falling down 40 meters forming placid river. Murchison Falls National Park
Early morning take game drive looking for wildlife. Murchison Falls is the largest national park in the country and harbors different flora and fauna. Your game drive in the morning with a local guide who will assist you to sight wild game in the northern bank of River Nile where concentrations of game are in common sight of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, lions leopards hyenas and many bird species are a common sight. After lunch in the afternoon go for a boat cruise on the famous River Nile up to the bottom of falls viewing variety of game that throng along banks of the river. Chances of sighting the shoe bill stork are many though not a guarantee and many more bird species continue up to the bottom of the falls where you will see animals like schools of hippos, crocodiles and many species of birds’ dinner and overnight. Murchison Falls – Fort Portal.
Morning after breakfast proceed to   Fort Portal /Kibale with packed lunch. Drive in one of the remotest parts of this country enjoying different forest environment and other savannah woodland vegetation plus communities along the road stop where you find local market to mix briefly with local people. Arrival will be a in the evening enjoy nice views of the mountains of the moon on clear days. Will settle in at Mountains of the Moon hotel or Fort Motel. Dinner and overnight. Chimpanzee tracking Kibale Park – Queen Elizabeth national Park.
Morning drive to Kibale national park famous for chimpanzee tracking Visit Bigodi and later proceed to Queen Elizabeth. After drive back to Fort Portal stopping for lunch and after continue to Queen Elizabeth national park. Drive along the foot of Mountain Rwenzori and on clear days enjoys its nice ice peaks that remain wonder on equator line. Dinner and overnight Simba safari Lodge Uganda lodges /lodges/Simba or Mweya safari Lodge, Buffalo Safari Lodge.
D6:
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early Breakfast in the morning, carryout game drive to catch-up with the early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. You are likely to meet grazing hippos, elephants, lions, spotted hyenas and leopards, bushbuck, waterbuck and stripped jackal, and of-course the several warthogs.
After lunch take boat cruise on Kazinga channel connecting Lake George and Lake Edward viewing different game lion, elephant, buffalo and many more plus plenty of birdlife. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. FB Mweya lodge
D 7:
Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi
After breakfast you will drive Kyambura gorge to track chimpanzees. After picnic lunch, drive south wards to Ishasha. Will do an evening game drive and after proceed to Bwindi and Overnight.
D 8:
Gorilla Tracking Bwindi
Morning after breakfast with packed lunch, you will be escorted to the starting point for briefing by your guide. You will be allocated guides to track gorillas with, and then will be off to begin your adventure. A briefing from your local guides and then it’s off! The time taken and the terrain varies (1- 8 hours) this depends on the movement of these gentle giants. The thrill of meeting face to face takes away the pain of some times long and arduous trek.  Each encounter is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in delightfully playful manner.
You will need to carry long pants like jean type, sturdy shoes to help you hiking steep and slippery slopes, gloves, long sleeved shirts and blouses to protect your bodies from thorns and itching plants. You may not rule out raining on you and at least a rain coat is needed to protect your bodies and any equipment carried along with like cameras. Also carry insect repellants and sun cream.
Day 9:
 Bwindi- Rwanda Parc National des Volcanos
Morning after  breakfast will be driven to Rwanda  via Kabale the highlands once known as Switzerland of Africa and continue to Kisoro the border town and cross into Rwanda drive short distance to Mountain Gorilla View Lodge. Dinner and overnight FB, 3B hotels
 Day 10:
Gorilla tracking Park des Volcans
Day for gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans (PNV) located in the northern part of Rwanda. Volcanic mountain ranges of Muhavura where about over 300 mountain gorillas find their natural habitat.  Morning will be driven to park headquarters after briefing start off the adventure with trackers. There are 8 habituated gorilla families – Amahoro, “Group 13”, Sabinyo and Susa – etc. each of the groups allows up to 8 people per day. You will track either family to be allocated.  Tracking gorillas may take 2- 8 hours depending on the movements of these primates. After tracking will be led back to park headquarters.  Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, 3b hotels
D 11:
Rwanda – Ruhengeri – – Mburo
After breakfast will do village walk around and where possible visit the lake Burela for sight seeing and after cross back into Uganda. Drive to Lake Mburo national park famous for zebra viewing and other lots of game. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo lodge. Mihingo Lodge
D12:
Lake Mburo- Kampala – Jinja
After Breakfast take a game in this park that contains an entire lake. The attractive acacia-dotted Savannah is a home for huge Zebras and Buffaloes, which graze these peaceful acres .At the lake; there are Hippos and a wonderful diversity of birds. Because of the different habitats of the lakeshores and the broad Savannah, the variety seems endless. Catch a glimpse of water birds diving for fish, the Marabou stork, bee-eater and cheeky bronze-tailed starling as well as the majestic crowned crane, take boat ride on Lake Mburo after proceed to Masaka road to Kampala. Stopover on your way could be for Ankole grassland where long horned cattle are common sight. Continue northwards breaking at the Equator crossing. Continue to Kampala and proceed to Jinja where will overnight.
D 13
Day will be for Jinja or white water rafting
This day will be for visiting Jinja whole day for white water rafting – grade 5 rapids) Overnight will be Sheraton or Africana in Kampala o (then left on your own or transfer is also possible to the airport today.
(We can arrange your overnight in case your flight is for following day)
