1 Day Rwanda Gorilla Tour
An Alpha Wild Safaris driver/guide will pick you up early morning at 04:30am from your hotel or place of residence in Kigali and transfer you to the headquarters of Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri, Musanze province for the briefing by the park rangers before heading into the jungle to begin the trekking. The 2 hour journey from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park is a perfect opportunity to marvel at the verdant lush green countryside of this land of a thousand hills. Be sure to take photos at the different stopovers along the way.
You will be put in a group and allocated a gorilla family and the tracking activity will begin at around 8:30am. Once you locate the Mountain Gorillas, you will be allowed up to one hour with them as you watch them move up and about while you take photographs. At the end of the one hour, you will exit the jungle and descend back to the starting point. The amount of time spent tracking the Mountain Gorillas depends on their movement and where they spent the previous night. It may vary from 30 minutes to 6 hours. You will have lunch at Hotel Muhabura and then drive back to Kigali or airport in time for your departure flight.
